Billed as the largest independent vote for toys that’ll be top of wish-lists, maybe sell-out, definitely not lead to mass 1980’s Cabbage Patch hysteria the Toy Retailers association told us of its top 20 products. Here are the toys, in no particular order of preference, just alphabetical, the fairest method apparently, increasing in price we’d prefer – Here it is;

No particular themes stand out really, decent offering across the board, plenty of re-iterations of toys already out there, a couple that have been around a few months, one in particular from 2023. There was a also some data from Circana releaased telling us how strong the Kidult market was, a market we cover constantly, apparently it is up to almost 30% of the £3.4bn market as we are keen on kidulting, so says the press release to “escape global turmoil”. I’ll just leave that there. I think we’re doing it part for a nostalgia boost and it is something about analogue play that crosses generation gaps so am of a mind we’re buying more Kidult toys so we can all play together more often, not just “kids toys” but many more with a wider demographic appeal. We’re buying them to play with our kids, recall stories, take trips down memory lane – Global turmoil, pah. Final word, buy the duck, its deffo best on the list by far.
