Clap along people, the Pharrell LEGO set is here

Happy Pharrell Williams and LEGO are embarking on a mission, part of said mission is a £94.99 set of 966 pieces they designed in collaboration calling it “Over the Moon”.

The song singing, rapping,  fashion designing record producing person has plenty time on his hand right so, he is plugging this as part of his YELLOW foundation which is one aiming to bring more creative play to kids worldwide through, now they have a LEGO Build the Change challenge.

Out there right now is news of an October release entitled ‘PIECE BY PIECE’, a biopic of Pharrell’s life told though LEGO animation. And it’s really not bad at all.

“Growing up, I was obsessed with space and the infinite possibilities it represents,” said Pharrell. “This partnership aims to inspire creativity and inclusivity. With my LEGO Over the Moon set I want everyone to feel seen and empowered to imagine their own stories. The spaceship is blasting off, and you’re in the pilot seat.”

Over the Moon is made up of three parts, with each holding a special meaning for Pharrell. The black-and-gold shuttle symbolizes limitless potential, taking off and transporting you anywhere you can imagine. The bright and vibrant colours of the jet stream symbolize the imagination, creativity, and power of play to fuel your way. And finally, befitting Pharrell’s relentless pursuit to push boundaries and ensure that everyone can feel represented and seen, the LEGO Over the Moon set features the widest range of minifigure skin tones included in a LEGO product, with seven in total. 51 different minifigure heads are included, over 30 of which have been designed specifically for this set.

The new set also includes several brand-new colour-piece combos, created specifically for this project, such as the custom-made windscreen canopy made in drum-lacquered gold colour for the first time ever.
