Celebrating Summer Solstice

Occurring when one of the Earth’s poles tilts at its maximum towards the sun, it’s usually the 21st (today it is at precisely 15:37 hrs) but sometimes falls on the 20th or 22nd. There were a few thousand folk down at Stonehenge this morning to welcome in the fiery orb, we awoke a little later to gather a collection of our favourite solar/soltice/Stonehenge based stuff and had a limerick session with our favourite A.I. friend – Thoughts?

On the summer solstice so bright, Toys came alive, what a sight! Dolls danced on the lawn, Action figures were drawn, In a limerick of playful delight!

Barbie twirled in her floral dress, G.I. Joe displayed his prowess. LEGO bricks built a fort, Teddy bears played a sport, As the sun kissed their plastic finesse!

Hot wheels raced with furious speed, Skipping ropes took a joyous lead. Yo-yos spun in the air, Slip ‘n slides brought a flair, All the toys in their summertime creed!

So let’s celebrate this solstice fun, With toys that never cease to stun. Their laughter fills the air, As they frolic and share, On this day, their joy can’t be outdone!
