After a 47-year production run the last Fiesta rolls out of the factory today after amassing 4.8mn sales in the UK alone and over 20 million globally during its run. Ford cite the move as part of their efforts to create more capacity to take their entire fleet of marques into the electric era ahead of the 2030 deadline for scrapping petrol and diesel engines.
