We’re celebrating Outdoor play – you in?

The Outdoor toy category had a blinder in 2020 contributing double digit growth in its category and helping the very healthy UK toy market to a bumper year. Now, we’ll not rattle on about the benefits of outdoor play, we love a console game, Nintendo Switch head-to-head battle, yes please. Netflix, binge box-watching, very much we like that too…..But, bang up a basketball hoop out doors, chuck a football in our general direction, hula hoops send them, skateboarding hails and fails, frisbee throwing – We love all outdoor play. So, after a year’s absence, the Outdoor Toy Awards are back to celebrate all manner of outdoor pursuits. We’ve ten categories :

  • Climbing and Adventure
  • Outdoor Sports
  • Flying Toys
  • Ride On
  • Trampolines & Inflatables
  • Pre-School
  • Science and Nature
  • Outdoor Games and Play
  • Battle & Blaster Toys
  • Houses, Tents & Hideaways

Each category will be allocated to various folks who will feedback, help us make a video, gather loads of images and crown some toys with their gong before the end of April so you can go get spendy on some stuff for outside. Brands who fancy submitting kit for our testers to, well, test, drop us a line – peter@toyology.co.uk and Join DC Thomson, Fun Kids Radio, Reach PLC, Kidzcoolit and Biz-Media as we shout about all the kit to keep you (and yours) up and Active. Brands who fancy entering, yes there is a fee, we’ve worked tirelessly to gather a decent mix of media and influencers to get the word out, drop us a line, we might bite, but you’ll be glad you did.
